A diver frees a young whale trapped in a deep-sea net and discovers that time behaves differently around the animal: cameras capture events that have not yet happened, and people glimpse the consequences of their next decisions. When his crew tries to turn the whale into a source of easy money, and a biotech company sees it as raw material for an anti-aging drug, the diver must choose between a greedy human world and a living creature that has already shown him its own death.
